You do not have to be a photographic expert in order to be a successful photo booth operator, but it helps to at least have an interest in the art of photography. When people talk about ISO's and apertures do you have any idea what they mean? Do you care? Do you enjoy making pictures in your spare time? I mean, these are just simple questions you have to asked you self before you get in the portable photo booth business. RBA Photobooths is here to help you generate that extra income you are looking for. We can help you by telling you what you should do base on our experiences. However, there are a lot of the other businesses that might interest you more if you don't have the patience to take pictures.
Do You Enjoy Dealing With People?
Once again, you do not have to be a full fledged entertainer such as a comedian to be a photo booth operator, but it does help if you like dealing with people. If you do not have the patience to deal with idiots - LOL - this may not be the occupations for you. Many times you will be dealing with people that may have had too much to drink, you may be dealing with a family issue, or with bratty kids.
On the positive side however, if you are currently a DJ then I'm sure you hae seen and heard it all and this will probably be a bit on the easier side. You won't hear "When are you going to play something good" or "If you play this song next i'll get some tonight" or well, you get the idea.
While I still DJ quite a bit, I do find that while slightly less challenging, it is easier with portable photo booths to please everyone, from 5 to 95. Just have a good quality pictures, engage your customers and you will do just fine.
Above is the picture of our T11 2.5 Photo Booth. It is one of my favorite to bring at a party. It is small, elegant, and modern. Brides loves it, and corporate are always looking for that clean look.
